Comprehensive assessment including insulation resistance (IR) test, dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), power factor test, and turns ratio test to identify the nature and extent of the fault.
Draining of existing transformer oil and thorough cleaning of the tank interior, radiators, and conservator to remove contaminants, sludge, and moisture.
Detailed inspection of the active part — core, windings, and insulation — to identify inter-turn shorts, open circuits, physical damage, or insulation degradation.
Where required, faulty windings are replaced with new conductor and insulation materials. Bushing, tap changers, and gaskets are also replaced as necessary.
Active parts are dried in our temperature-controlled oven to remove moisture from the insulation system, ensuring optimal dielectric strength before reassembly.
The transformer is filled with new or reconditioned dielectric oil. Final acceptance tests — including high-voltage (hi-pot), induced overvoltage, and no-load/load loss tests — are performed to verify compliance with original specifications.
